I suggest we set this up as products/collection instead, then you can:

1- simply add "new" tags to existing products and create a collection that pulls in everything tagged "new". Then when they are no longer new you just go into that item and delete the tag. Or,

2. SMARTER - devise a naming convention for new tags. You could use the tag "new spring 19" for one season, then "new fall 19" for the next, and that way you only keep adding new items. When you have an updated batch to go in here as "new", you'd simply change which tag gets pulled into this page. and you won't have to go back into older products and delete tags.
